Bette McGinnis, 82 of Ocala passed away on August 4, 2018 at the Legacy Hospice House. Bette was born in Sussex, NJ to Clarence and Ethel Henderson on January 21, 1936. Bette worked as a telephone operator until she retired and moved to Florida.
Bette is survived by her husband of 41 years, William D. McGinnis; sons, James E. Sistler, Jr.(Sharon), John W. Sistler, Joseph Sistler, and Brian McGinnis (Tammy); two daughters, Sandra McGinnis and Debra Cornet (Carlos); her sister, Sharon Malik; and a dear friend, Phyllis Starnes. Bette and a total of 25 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Bette will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 11:00am in the PRIMERA IGLESIA BAUTISTA DE MARION OAKS (First Baptist Church of Marion Oaks) 558 Marion Oaks lane, Ocala, FL. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5pm-7pm. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery at 1pm following the service.
