It is with great sadness that the family of Nicholas T. Spehar (Nick) announce his passing on August 10th, 2018 at the age of 87 years. Nick will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Annette and his children, Ronette (Larry) DeBerry of Boca Raton, Fl, Renee Spehar of Ocala Fl and Lisa Cushing of Margate Fl. He had 4 grandchildren, Tim Cushing, Danielle (Bryan) Alesiano, Ryan (Melanie) DeBerry and Nicole Orellana and 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Steve (Nancy) Spehar, sister Betty (Bill) Miker and sister Dorothly (Ken) St Clair, all from Ohio.
Nick was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 16, 1930 to Joseph and Katherine Spehar, both deceased. Also deceased are brothers, Joe, George and Tom Spehar and sister Luicille Spehar.
He served in the USMC (Korea) from 1951 to 1953 and the Marine Reserve from 1954 to 1955. He was a current member of the A-1-7 Marine Association and Marine League, Ocala West.
He owned Precision Dental Lab in Coral Springs, Florida for 30 years. In 2001, after retirement, he moved to Ocala, FL where he enjoyed playing golf as long as his health allowed. He always looked forward to his annual trips to meet with the A-1-7 Marine group, held in different states. He also enjoyed his weekly visits to Anytime Fitness.
A viewing will be held on Friday, August 17th from 10:00am with service at 11:00 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 5740 S. Pine Ave., Ocala. Burial will be at Bushnell Military Cemetery at 2:30pm.
