Marion County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating the death of a 24 year-old female inmate at the Marion County Jail.
Jail staff responded to the unresponsive inmate Friday night and were unsuccessful in attempts to revive her, a sheriff’s office report states. She was pronounced dead a short time later.
The woman’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. And the investigation is continuing, the report says.
