Sheila Boyd Goforth, 72 died Friday, November 9, 2018 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, FL.
Sheila was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Goforth.
Sheila was born in Pensacola, FL, and spent time in Europe as well as around the United States before settling in Manassas, VA. In 1996 Sheila and her husband moved to Oak Run in Ocala.
Sheila is survived by her daughter, Lee Bijvank-Goforth and her husband, Erik-Jan Bijvank of Hoef en Haag, The Netherlands; as well as her sisters, Dorian Boyd Stevens of Kansas City, MO and Lisa Boyd Doelp of Burke, VA.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday to honor Sheila’s life. There will be an internment service at 1:30pm on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Sheila’s name to The Salvation Army. Services were under the care of Roberts of Ocala Downtown Chapel.
