Mayoral, district candidates to answer questions during public forum hosted by Junior League of Ocala

Mayoral and city council candidates will answer questions during an upcoming public forum hosted by the Junior League of Ocala on Wednesday, August 28.

The event offers the opportunity to meet political candidates ahead of the upcoming election. The question and answer style forum will be held at the Brick City Center for the Arts (23 SW broadway St.) from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Mayoral candidates Kent Guinn and Barbara Fitos, as well as City Council District 2 candidates Ire Bethea, Reginald Landers, Jr., and Tyrone Oliver, Sr. will be in attendance.

The Junior League is encouraging members of the public interested in submitting questions to submit them to the discussion portion of the Facebook event page.

Wesley Wilcox will be attending, along with members of his office, to assist with voter registration and answer questions about precincts.

A meet and greet with all of the candidates in attendance will be held before and after the forum.
