Hair-pulling Dunnellon woman arrested after nasty spat

Elizabeth Ann Troutman

A Dunnellon woman was arrested Monday night after she admitted to pulling another woman’s hair and throwing her out of the house during a nasty domestic spat.

The victim told a Marion County sheriff’s deputy that Elizabeth Ann Troutman, 41, was trying to make her leave the house and then took her car keys. She said Troutman grabbed her by the hair and pushed her out the front door. The victim said she didn’t want Troutman to touch her and she didn’t do anything to cause her to touch her, according to the sheriff’s office report.

Troutman said the victim was arguing with her about a car and she wanted the victim out of the house. She said the victim told her she wasn’t leaving and that she needed to be evicted for her to leave. Troutman said she grabbed the victim by the hair on her head and threw her out the door. She said the victim never touched her during the incident, the report said.

When told she was going to be charged with domestic battery, Troutman then said victim was clapping in her face and her hand touched her nose. She said she was “pissed off” by the victim clapping in her face and that is why she grabbed her by the hair and pushed her outside, according to the report.

Troutman was taken to the Marion County Jail and released Tuesday night on her own recognizance. She is scheduled to appear in Marion County Court on July 14.
