Reddick woman jailed after nasty tiff with man friend over Wii game

Rosa J. Browning

A Reddick woman found herself behind bars early Sunday afternoon after a violent skirmish with her man friend over the location of a Nintendo Wii game.

The man told Marion County sheriff’s deputies that 35-year-old Rosa J. Browning came out of the bedroom “barreling” toward him in the living room. The man said she pushed him in the chest and said, “I’ll kill you,” the report says, adding that the man didn’t defend himself and called law enforcement for help.

Browning claimed she was in the bedroom preparing to leave the residence and the man kept coming in and out of the room. She said he started to argue about the location of the Wii game so she left the room, the report says.

Browning said she decided to go to the kitchen to get a drink and when she left the bedroom, the man approached her in the living room and they started arguing face to face. She said she didn’t like the man arguing so close to her, so she pushed him in the chest, the report says.

Browning claimed the man grabbed her arms to keep her from pushing him again. She added that she didn’t walk around the other side of the room because she wanted to avoid the man’s child, the report says.

Browning was taken into custody and transported to the Marion County Jail, where she was charged with domestic battery. She was released Monday afternoon on $500 bond and is due in court July 30 at 9 a.m.
