An Ocala woman found herself behind bars recently after Marion County sheriff’s deputies received reports about a reckless driver on N.E. Hwy. 19.
A deputy responded to the area and located a red Suzuki SUV driven by 24-year-old Glenda Alicia Stanley. The vehicle wasn’t maintaining its driving lane so the deputy performed a traffic stop, a sheriff’s office report states.
The deputy spoke with Stanley and noticed signs of impairment. She failed field sobriety exercises and was placed under arrest, the report says.
Stanley was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. She was released on $1,000 bond and her next court date hasn’t yet been set, jail records show.
