Marion County residents wrote in to share their opinions about where they would like to see a new Chick-fil-A across the county.
“My family lives in the east part of Ocala, just south of Silver Springs State Park. We need a Chick-fil-A store built near here. There’s only Burger King and Steak and Shake near us. The McDonald’s in Walmart closed down so you have to drive half-ways to town to go there for us,” says Brian Richards of Ocala.
Ted Music, of Silver Springs, shared Richards’ sentiment on location.
“I’m hoping a new Chick-fil-A will be built on the east side of Ocala,” Music.
“A city as large and growing as Ocala needs more than one Chick-fil-A property, not in a Mall. The one on Highway 200 now has a major road tie-up over folks lining up in the right lane to turn into the drive-thru,” says Ocala resident Marilyn Lefoy.
Some readers asked for locations in other parts of the county.
“We need a Chick-fil-A to open in Belleview, we would love to have one here,” says Pat Spivey, a resident of Belleview.
