Two people hospitalized after rollover crash in southwest Ocala

A driver and passenger were hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash in southwest Ocala on Tuesday morning.

At around 8:05 a.m., Ocala Fire Rescue units (Engine 6 and Rescue 4) responded to an accident with rollover and possible entrapment at the intersection of SW 60th Avenue and SW 38th Street.

Upon arrival, crews found a Hyundai sedan on its roof and an Acura SUV with minimal damage to the passenger’s side. The sedan’s driver and passenger had managed to exit the vehicle.

While OFR crews secured the area, the sedan’s driver and passenger were medically evaluated and transported to a local hospital. No other injuries were reported.

The names of everyone involved in the accident were not released. 

The Ocala Police Department and Marion County Fire Rescue also responded.
