Maurice F. Rohn, 86, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022 at his home in Ocala, FL. Born in Rushville, IL, Maurice was a proud member of the United States Air Force, serving his country for 20 years. During that time he worked as a Crew Chief on C-130’s, received the Airman’s Medal during Vietnam, and retired an E-9. His dedication to his military service was second only to his dedication to family. Maurice was a devoted husband, loving father and extremely proud grandfather.
Maurice is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia; his children Deborah (Chuck) Rohn-Schmidt of AZ, Pamela (Dave) Jermyn of IL, Robert (Barbara) Rohn of IA, Joshua (Christine) Rohn of TX, and Steven (Francesca) Rohn of FL; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. His Sister Joyce Reed (Rohn). He was preceded in death by his parents James and Freida Rohn and his brother James ‘Dick” Rohn.
For his service he is honored, for his dedication he is loved, and by his friends and family he will be forever remembered and missed.
A graveside service for Maurice will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 5740 South Pine Ave, Ocala, FL 34480. Celebration of Life will immediately follow at the Rohn home.
