‘Beauty and the Beast’ nearing final shows at Ocala Civic Theatre, few tickets still available

The local community still has time to check out ‘Beauty and the Beast’ before it leaves the Ocala Civic Theatre stage on Sunday, June 5.

The classic Disney musical, which tells the story of a prince who is cursed to live as a beast until he finds his true love, still has nine performances remaining at the theater (4337 E Silver Springs Boulevard). Those performances are being held on the following dates:

  • Saturday, May 28 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, May 29 at 2 p.m.
  • Thursday, June 2 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Friday, June 3 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, June 4 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, June 5 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

The show on Thursday, June 2 will be an American Sign Language (ASL) performance, and interpreters will be present for the duration of the two-and-a-half-hour show.

A few tickets are still available for the remaining performances. Tickets cost $30 for adults (ages 19 and older) and $15 for anyone ages 18 and younger.
