Harold Frederick Daniels, (Fred) 78, passed away on June 30th, 2022. He was born on October 25, 1943 to Harold and Elizabeth Daniels of Millersburg, PA. Fred and his wife retired from Halifax, PA to Salt Springs , FL in 2005. Fred was a Civil Engineer for The Commonwealth of PA.

Fred was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Daniels. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 year, Debra D. Daniels; sons, Brett and wife Tometta Daniels (Harrisburg, PA), James Schoffstall and partner AJ Echevarria Crespo (Salt Springs, FL); daughters, Samantha Schoffstall (Shiremanstown, PA), Tara and husband Brad Shultz (Etters, PA). Grandchildren, Elisabeth and husband Garry Reyes (Annville, PA), Michaela Snody (Etters, PA), Sadie Schoffstall (Shiremanstown, PA), Delaney Daniels and Daxon Daniels (Harrisburg, PA) and Nerisbel LaBoy (Salt Springs, FL). Father and mother in-law, George and Elizabeth Brown (Tower City, PA). Sisters-in-law, Cheryl and husband Paul Fulk (Halifax, PA), Lori and husband James Koppenhaver (Halifax, PA). Along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Fred loved life, his family, his church, his friends, hunting, fishing, camping, playing pool & cards, dancing, and singing even out of tune, even if he didn’t know the words. He was a long-time, big-time Steeler’s fan outfitted from head-to-toe on any given game day ready to cheer, yell and throw that terrible towel. If you ever asked Fred how he was doing, you knew you would only ever receive one answer…”I am FANNNTASTIC!”…and he was.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Fred’s church, Salt Springs Christian Church, 24571 NE Hwy 316, Salt Springs, FL 32134, on Friday, June 8th at 11am with a dinner served immediately after. For those that knew him from PA, there will be a memorial service being held sometime in September that will be announced at a later time when those arrangements are made.
