Millard Francis Mann, 84, of Ocala, Florida passed away on April 17, 2023 in Ocala, Florida.
Millard was born in Old Town, Maine to Millard and Dorothy Mann on December 26, 1938. He graduated from South Portland High School in 1957 and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine in 1964. He met his wife Dorothy at a local dance at the age of 18 and five years later they married, recently celebrating 60 years together. They moved to Miami, Florida in 1965. Millard was the proud father of two daughters and always put his family first and foremost. He found his true calling as an electrical contractor, maintaining his own business for over 20 years. He was an avid sports fan and a supporter of the Miami Dolphins, and eventually transferred his loyalty from the Boston Celtics to the Miami Heat. Millard was generous with his time, supporting various community and church activities with his expertise and contributions. He patiently provided for the family’s many and varied pets.
Millard is survived by his wife, Dorothy C. Mann of Ocala, Florida, his daughter, Laura, her husband Oswald and their two children – Emily and Daniel – of Tampa, Florida; and his daughter, Elizabeth, her husband John Patrick and their two children – Sara and Sean – of Newtown, Pennsylvania. He is preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Dorothy Mann.
The funeral service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church, 503 SE Broadway St, Ocala, FL, on May 5, 2023, at 2:00 PM.
