We deserve better driving conditions

To the Editor:

The pavement on Maricamp/464, between 25th Avenue and Baseline, is very rough, badly worn, and years past due for repaving. This is one of the most heavily trafficked roads by Marion County taxpayers (paying extra pennies for road maintenance) who are trying to get to work, school, home, shop, etc. We have to contend with miles of neglected pavement that is chewing up our tires and being difficult, in places, to drive on, as the uneven pavement has grabbed my tires and made changing lanes hazardous.

This is a Florida Department of Transportation issue. This letter is useless unless it prompts others to call FDOT at 1-866-602-3264 and ask them to assess the road condition. We deserve better driving conditions.
