Dump truck hits overpass on I-75 in Marion County, delays expected

Motorists traveling northbound on Interstate 75 in Marion County should expect delays after a dump truck collided with the SW 66th Street overpass early Tuesday morning.

At approximately 3:50 a.m., the dump truck was heading northbound on I-75 in the outside lane near an active construction site on the interstate. The dump was in the up position when it hit the SW 66th Street overpass, which caused the vehicle to become stuck, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
