Four Ocala parks reopen after flooding, storm damage

The City of Ocala Recreation and Parks Department has announced the reopening of four public parks, which were previously closed due to flooding and damage from last week’s severe weather.

As of Monday afternoon, the following parks have reopened to the public:

  • Lillian F. Bryant Park (2200 NW 17th Place).
  • S. Stanley Malever Nature Park (1600 SE 30th Avenue).
  • Scott Springs Park (2825 SW 24th Avenue).
  • Toms Park (2245 N Magnolia Avenue).

The following parks will remain closed until further notice:

  • Fisher Park (900 SE 22nd Street).
  • Letty Towles Dog Park (2299 SE 32nd Avenue).
  • Tuscawilla Park (500 NE Sanchez Avenue).
