CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion is hosting a job fair later this month for residents in the tri-county area who are seeking employment or critical support services.
On Thursday, July 20, the Tri-County Resource and Job Fair will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the College of Central Florida’s Jack Wilkinson Levy Campus, which is located at 15390 NW Highway 19 in Chiefland.
The job fair is free and open to all job seekers, including students and recent graduates. Anyone interested in attending the hiring event can click here to register.
According to CareerSource CLM, the participating businesses include Amber Brook Farms, ANCORP, Capital City Bank, Cross City Correctional Institute, Florida Department of Children and Families, Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, Florida Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, Tri-County Metals, UpHealth Inc., Williston Care Center, and Zero Hour Life Center.
In addition to meeting directly with hiring managers who have immediate jobs to fill, attendees will be able to participate in the following free workshops during the event:
- Resume Review from 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Interview Skills from 2:30 to 3 p.m.
- College Applications from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Representatives from CareerSource CLM, Eckerd Connects Workforce Development, College of Central Florida, Tri-County Community Resource Center, United Way of North Central Florida, and Zero Hour Life Center will also be in attendance to provide community resources.
Prior to attending the hiring event, it is recommended that job seekers visit the Employ Florida website to complete a full registration or update an existing one. Participants are also encouraged to dress professionally, bring printed copies of a current resume, and be prepared to discuss their skills and qualifications with hiring managers.
Any job seekers interested in updating their resume or sharpening their interview skills are invited to stop by one of CareerSource CLM’s career centers for fee-free staff assistance. The career centers, which are located in Ocala (2703 NE 14th Street), Lecanto (683 S Adolph Point), and Chiefland (2175 NW 11th Drive), are open on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
