A Dunnellon man has claimed a $1 million prize from the Florida Lottery’s 500X THE CASH scratch-off game.
According to the Florida Lottery, John Frint recently stopped by the Lottery’s Gainesville District Office to collect his prize. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $820,000.
Frint purchased his winning scratch-off ticket from the Plaza Food Mart located at 7977 W Dunnellon Road in Dunnellon. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.
The Florida Lottery’s $50 scratch-off game, FLORIDA 500X THE CASH, features two top prizes of $25 million and 160 prizes of $1 million. The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-4.50.
