A home that is listed for sale at $615,350 in Golden Hills Turf and Country Club was sold in 2017 for $220,000.
Located at 5350 NW 75th Avenue in west Ocala, the two-bedroom, four-bathroom, split-level suburban Rancher features upgrades such as hardwood flooring, crown molding, granite countertops, and an imported Italian mosaic tile backsplash.
According to property records, the home originally sold in 2006 for $410,000. It was not sold again until 2017, when it was listed for $265,000. It sold in October of 2017 for $220,000.
Built in 1977, the home boasts all new light fixtures and the oversized dining room features three chandeliers. The living room flows into the family/game room, which was once a sunroom, but is now a fully enclosed, under-air addition infusing natural light.
The laundry room features a bathroom with a specialty coin flooring, and recently added outdoor additions include brick patios in the front and back. The backyard overlooks the Ocala National Golf Course and features a built-in fire pit. The location is less than six miles from the World Equestrian Center and less than five miles from the nearest Publix.
The difference in sale price has been common across Ocala and the rest of Florida. Last week, a 14-acre property was listed for $2.1 million. That same property sold for $365,000 in 2016.
