Don’t like the growth in Ocala? Move to a smaller town.

To the Editor:

Seems like a lot on here are complaining about Ocala growing too fast, and it is growing fast. But it boils down to what the people want and this growth is spurred by demand. So I don’t blame the businesses or any of that, it’s just what a growing community wants. They want to be close to a grocery store. They want to be close to restaurants and pizza places. They like that.

I think these people that complain so much about the growth need to move to a smaller town that is drying up for lack of business. Believe me, it’s a lot worse than what we are putting up with here in Ocala. I live on Highway 200, about 3 miles west of Ocala, and I can assure you this community is not drying up.

So no, I don’t think it’s to blame anybody, the businesses, or anything else. If you want to find somebody to blame, just go look in the mirror. And you should be able to sell your place at a tiny profit and move to one of the smaller towns. They are still around, you know.
