A recycling center in Marion County is hosting a collection event this weekend for residents who are looking to get rid of unwanted furniture.
The event will be held on Saturday, September 16, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Citra Recycling Center, which is located at 17780 NE 19th Court in Citra.
During the 10-hour collection event, the recycling center will be accepting sofas, bed frames, mattresses, box springs, dressers, benches, chairs, lamps, tables, and more.
Additional furniture collection events are scheduled to take place in Marion County on the following Saturdays:
- October 7 at the Fort McCoy Recycling Center (12195 E Highway 316 in Fort McCoy).
- October 14 at the Weirsdale Recycling Center (13535 SE 164th Street in Weirsdale).
- October 21 at the Orange Lake Recycling Center (18290 NW 53rd Court Road in Orange Lake).
- November 11 at the Florida Highlands Recycling Center (8390 SW 150th Street in Dunnellon).
- November 18 at the Salt Springs Recycling Center (13580 NE 203rd Avenue Road in Salt Springs).
- December 9 at the South Forest Recycling Center (15480 SE 182nd Avenue Road in Umatilla).
- December 16 at the Wright Road Recycling Center (11190 NW 90th Avenue in Reddick).
