Suspect sought in downtown Ocala shooting that wounded 16-year-old

A 31-year-old man is wanted by Ocala police in connection with a shooting that wounded a teenager in downtown Ocala on Saturday night.

Shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, a 16-year-old victim was shot near the 200 block of S Magnolia Avenue. According to OPD, the victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Police and ambulances were seen throughout downtown Ocala on Saturday evening in response to the shooting. OPD conducted an investigation, and the department released a statement later that night to advise that the incident appeared to be “isolated” and there was “no threat to the general public.”

On Tuesday, October 10, the Ocala Police Department provided an update on the investigation. In a social media post, OPD identified Anthony J. Reagan, 31, as a suspect in the shooting.
