New mother starts charcuterie business serving Ocala

A new mother has been working on a new, custom charcuterie operation that offers cups, boxes, and larger options to residents in Ocala and Marion County.

Orange Blossom Charcuteries is a small family business that began serving the area over the summer.

Owned and operated by Shannon, who became a new mom last fall, the business features custom charcuterie cups, boxes, and grazing tables for special events, everyday lunches, and larger gatherings.

The business delivers most products and offers pickup in southeast Ocala.

Shannon says that when she became a new mom, her “entire world changed.”

“I wanted a way to still bring home income but also channel some of my post-partum anxiety into a creative outlet,” said Shannon in an email to Ocala-News.com. “I love hosting parties and seeing people happy and this venture just fit me so well. I have met some really awesome people who live and thrive in our community and love the people just as much as I do – something I would have never learned if I hadn’t started this.”

The young mother says she is not focused on what might be “popular in five years,” but rather, has focused on serving her community while making friends along the way.

“I love being able to help make special events even more fun and artistic. Grazing tables might not be popular in five years from now, but right now, I’m just focusing on the happiness it brings me,” said the entrepreneur.

Shannon is one of several local mothers who have opened businesses in Ocala and Marion County this year.
