Ocala police hosting community support meeting for those affected by Paddock Mall shooting

Ocala police have invited the Florida Crisis Response Team to host an informational session next week for everyone affected by the shooting incident that occurred at Paddock Mall on December 23.

The session will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at the community room located inside Ocala Police Department Headquarters (402 S Pine Avenue).

This community support meeting, which is free to attend, is designed to help participants understand their reactions to the tragedy. In addition, participants will learn effective coping methods while receiving access to local resources to help themselves and their loved ones, according to OPD.

Representatives from Kimberly’s Center for Child Protection will also be in attendance for the duration of the informational session.
