A Walmart Supercenter in Ocala was evacuated on Sunday afternoon after a bomb threat was reported.
Early in the afternoon, Ocala Police Department officers and numerous first responders arrived at the Walmart located at 4980 E Silver Springs Boulevard due to a bomb threat.
After the store was evacuated, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office bomb squad arrived on scene to conduct a search. According to OPD, no bomb was found, and law enforcement cleared the building at around 2:45 p.m.
Detectives are currently investigating this incident. No further details were provided by the Ocala Police Department.
