Visitors will learn about the various habitats and migration patterns of turtles and tortoises, as well as the threats that they face.

During the interactive exhibit, guests will play a giant board game to help a turtle safely navigate its migration route, design a turtle-friendly housing development, and see how shell shapes suit different lifestyles and habitats.

In addition, guests will get to view the waters from a loggerhead sea turtle’s perspective as the reptile swims.

The turtle-themed exhibit will remain on display at the Discovery Center through Saturday, May 11. The science center is open on Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

General admission to the Discovery Center is $8 per person or $28 for a family of four. Annual memberships are also available for individuals and families.

The Discovery Center also offers additional educational opportunities for a $3 add-on to the price of general admission, including StarLab Planetarium shows (every Saturday at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m.) and Spy Science Saturdays (second Saturday of each month from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.).
