A new mobile catering company that is serving up artisanal pizzas made in a wood-fired oven is promising to deliver an experience that is a “slice above the rest” all around Ocala.
Brick & Ember Pizza Company is officially open for business, offering mobile pizza catering services to Ocala and surrounding areas.
Founded in 2022 in Iowa by Shon Brulleman, Brick & Ember’s Ocala branch is owned and operated by Clodyne and Jim Seidel.
The couple and their family have been serving the area for the past several weeks with the new truck, setting up shop at weddings, high school games, and local businesses.
The Seidels say they decided to open the franchise to provide a “unique, classy, artisan experience” to personal and business events across Ocala.
“From the oven to your plate, we will bring Italy to you with an assortment of our wood-fired, brick oven pizzas served fresh by slice to your guests as they come through the line,” reads a statement from the company.
The business cooks all of its pizzas in a wood-fired oven which helps it rapidly produce crispy, light, fluffy crusts and perfectly charred cheese on all of its products.
In addition to classic pizza flavors like pepperoni and cheese, the business also serves specialty pies like brisket mac ‘n cheese, chicken bacon ranch, buffalo chicken, and sweet ‘n spicy pepperoni, to name a few.
