Due to a tree replacement project, Ocala motorists can expect a road closure on S Magnolia Avenue, from SW Broadway Street to SW 2nd Street, beginning at 6 a.m. on Monday, February 26.
According to the City of Ocala, the “full road closure” will remain in effect until 4 p.m. on Monday. In addition, alternating sidewalk closures will also be in effect during this time.
All necessary devices will be in place to redirect traffic. The tree replacement will only take place on Monday, between the hours of 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. During this time, travelers may experience delays, noise, dust, and equipment within the project area.
The detour routes are as follows:
- SW Broadway Street to SW Fort King Street Closure – Traveling southbound on S Magnolia Avenue, turn left onto SE Broadway Street, right onto SE Osceola Avenue, right onto E Fort King Street, and left onto S Magnolia Avenue.
- SW Fort King Street to SW 2nd Street Closure: Traveling southbound on S Magnolia Avenue, turn right onto SW Fort King St., left onto SW 1st Avenue, left onto SW 2nd Street, and right onto S Magnolia Avenue.
