The annual Santos Fat Tire Festival will return to Ocala this week with a slate of bicycle-themed vendors and food trucks.
The event kicks off on Thursday, March 7, at 2 p.m. and continues through Sunday, March 10, at 4 p.m. at the Santos Mountain Biking Trail, which is located at 3080 SE 80th Street in Ocala.
The festival will feature multiple bicycle-themed activities and the EPIC 50 Ride, which features 50 miles of biking the park’s trails. The ride is self-guided and fully supported with safety patrollers, bathrooms, and sag stops, according to event organizers.
In addition to the ride, visitors will be able to camp at the Santos Campground and visit with dozens of vendors, bicycle booths, and food trucks.
The festival will also include free skills clinics with certified mountain bike instructor Misty Mahoy.
Proceeds from the Santos Fat Tire Festival will benefit trail maintenance and building, safety patrol training, and equipment needed at the park.
The vendor village will be open Friday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
