The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help from the public to identify a man who recently stole an electric bicycle from a guest at a local hotel.
On Wednesday, April 3, the male suspect pictured below allegedly stole a Beaumont Rev City electric bicycle from the Stage Stop Inn located at 5131 E Silver Springs Boulevard in Silver Springs, according to MCSO.
The victim told law enforcement that the electric bicycle was “locked up” when they left the hotel at around 7 a.m. on April 3. When the victim returned at 3 p.m., the bike was gone.
An MCSO deputy reviewed surveillance footage from the hotel, which “clearly showed the suspect stealing the bicycle” at around 9:30 a.m. that morning, according to the sheriff’s office.
