Onramp to I-75 from CR 484 closing for resurfacing

An onramp from County Road 484 to Interstate 75 will be temporarily closed one night this week as crews work to resurface the roadway.

The closure will be in effect from Thursday, May 23 to Friday, May 24, from 8 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., according to a statement from the Florida Department of Transportation. The southbound I-75 onramp from CR 484 will close for resurfacing and a detour will be in effect.

Motorists wishing to travel southbound on I-75 from C.R. 484 should travel east on C.R. 484, turn right on C.R. 475, turn left on S.R. 44, and continue east on S.R. 44 before reaching the on ramp for southbound I-75.

The improvements are part of FDOT project 443170-1, which will see the resurfacing of I-75 from the Sumter County line road to State Road 200. The project will also include guardrail updates and median reconstruction.

In addition to that ramp closure, a single lane of I-75 will be closed near the 66th Street bridge during the same timeframe. That closure is on account of crews making repairs to the bridge.
