Craig William Lavis, age 70, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on May 17, 2024. He was born on August 7, 1953, in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, to Diane and Leonard Lavis.

Craig was devoted to his beloved wife of 30 years, Linda, who was by his side when he passed away. Craig enjoyed golf, fishing, and traveling the country. He loved playing billiards and engaging in various activities with friends. Family was of utmost importance to him. as was his dear chocolate lab, Lily Anne, whom he cared for every day with love and patience.

He attended Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas, and later earned his Bachelor’s degree from Empire State University in Albany, New York. Craig had a diverse career, working in counseling, social work, sales, and eventually as a Probation/Parole Agent for the Department of Community Corrections in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Craig is survived by his wife Linda, sisters Cathie, Debbie, Pattie, and Linda [Carl], Aunt Carol, brother-in-law Barry, nephew Nick, niece Katlin, and many other nieces and nephews whom he cherished deeply.
