An Ocala man was killed on Sunday morning after his pickup truck left a local roadway and crashed into a tree.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the 82-year-old man was driving a pickup truck southbound on NW 80th Avenue on Sunday, May 26, at around 10:20 a.m.
The vehicle, which was pulling a utility trailer, veered off the left side of the roadway before it collided with a tree on the east grass shoulder.
The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. According to the crash report, the driver was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
No further details have been released by FHP.
