The sale of a 39-acre horse farm in northwest Ocala for $2.4 million last week follows several similar sales of horse farms in that part of the city in recent months.

The property was sold by Broad Wing Farm, LLC to Valcor Farm Real Estate, LLC, on January 9, 2025, according to a deed filed with the Marion County Clerk of Courts.

Located at 13193 NW 97th Place in Ocala, the 39.45-acre site features a large, 5-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom house and several barns.

Additional equestrian upgrades at the site include a pond, a turnout for grazing, a jump arena and dressage arena with all-weather footing, and dozens of paddocks shaded by large oak trees.

According to county records, the property was sold in 2005 by Patricia Marie Andros to Louis Terramagra for $850,000. In November 2009, Terramagra sold the property to Howard and Jennifer Beckman.

In 2017, the property was purchased by Soulshine Farms, LLC, for $1,125,000.

In 2018, the federal government entered a default judgment against Soulshine Farms, LLC, and took control of the property, seizing it under the grounds that it was “derived from proceeds traceable to a violation of any offense constituting a ‘specified unlawful activity.'”

In January 2020, the property was purchased by Helen and John Coon of Ocala. It has remained under the Coon family’s ownership until now.

According to state corporate records, Valcor Farm Real Estate, LLC, is owned by Elizabeth Leete, of Glen St. Mary, Florida.

The sale of yet another large acreage farm in northwest Ocala comes days after a similar sale.

Ocala-News.com reported the sale of a 25-acre horse farm for $2.7 million at the beginning of January. The new owners of that property plan to expand their equine rehabilitation and recovery program with the additional room.

Over the past few months, several other farms have been sold in the northwest region of the city/county as well, including a 21.84-acre farm that sold for $2.8 million, a 100-acre farm that sold for $6.4 million, a 38.65-acre farm that sold for $3,665,000, and a 47-acre portion of a farm that sold for $4,400,000.
