A new Waffle House location that is nearly complete in southwest Ocala will be situated just over five miles from another Waffle House that opened on State Road 200 in October 2022.
The new Waffle House is situated around the 7600 block of SR 200, next door to the city’s first Ellianos drive-thru coffee, which opened late last year, a Tire Outlet that opened last August, and the city’s second Tidal Wave Auto Spa, which opened last April.
Although the new diner would have been the sixth Waffle House in Ocala, since Ocala-News.com first reported it was coming to SR 200, another location at 3871 SW College Road permanently closed.
Accordingly, the new Waffle House will represent the fifth establishment in the city of Ocala, and the third new establishment built over the past five years.
In 2022, Waffle House opened a location along SW College Road/SR 200. In 2020, the company opened a restaurant along Maricamp Road.
Outside of the locations on SR 200 and Maricamp Road, the company also operates locations at 22 NW 34th Avenue and 2065 SW County Road 484 in Ocala.
