A new Waffle House has opened for business in southwest Ocala, joining four others situated around the city, including another just a few miles north.
The new Waffle House recently opened its doors at 7660 SW State Road 200. The business is currently open for limited hours, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to its online listing. Online ordering is not yet being accepted by the restaurant.
The new location would have been the sixth Waffle House in Ocala. However, since Ocala-News.com first previewed the restaurant, an old location at 3871 SW College Road was permanently closed. That facility was replaced with Rise, a medical marijuana dispensary.
The other four Waffle House locations in Ocala are all currently open 24 hours a day. They are located at 4611 SE Maricamp Road, 22 NW 34th Avenue, 2065 SW Highway 484, and 4011 SW College Road, which opened in 2022.
Waffle House joins several other new businesses that have opened near the intersection of SR 200 and SW 95th Street Road over the past year, including the city’s second Smalls Sliders, the first Ellianos Coffee Drive-Thru, Tire Outlet, and the city’s second Tidal Wave Auto Spa.
Two years before opening its other location along SR 200, in 2020, Waffle House opened a restaurant along Maricamp Road.
