A highly anticipated artisan market that features clothing and retail shops, restaurants, an Amazon resale store, a Christian bookstore, and multiple other vendors has opened its doors for business at Ocala’s Paddock Mall.
The Paddock Market is officially open for business, replacing the old Sears at the mall (3100 SW College Road). Over the past month, several businesses have celebrated grand openings at the new market.
That includes The Attic, a vintage and retro thrift store that sells clothing, shoes, purses, knickknacks and unique home decor pieces. The Attic previously opened a space in southwest Ocala last year.

Blue Sky Flooring, another family-owned and operated business that has been serving The Villages and surrounding areas for 25 years, opened a studio space to showcase its flooring at the market.

The Journey Bookstore opened at the Paddock Market on December 17. The family-owned and operated Christian bookstore sells books, calendars, planners, candles, and a variety of other merchandise.

On December 19, Clearance Cove celebrated its grand opening at the site. That business sells overstock and returned merchandise from Amazon, Walmart, Target, and other major retailers.
Ocala-News.com first reported on the new Paddock Market in April 2024.
Over the past two years, the site at the mall was gutted, cleared, and partitioned into spaces of varying sizes for the vendors.
State corporate records show that the new Paddock Market is owned by BSD Capital, which is based in Hollywood, Florida.
That group previously announced that, when complete, the market would feature 20 “restaurant-ready” retail spaces, each of which are just over 2,000 square feet in size. The space also features 78 vendor booths that are each around 340 square feet in size, as well as a dozen pop-up spaces.
The site is still accepting applications from individuals interested in opening retail spaces there, including food trucks, restaurants, local artists, craft vendors and others.
The Paddock Market joins at least twelve other recent additions to the Paddock Mall since the beginning of 2024, including Pizza Per-bellini, Time 2 Love Myself LLC, Urban Country Outfitters, Symmetry Coffee Company, Restaurant Depot Express, Popeyes, MINISO, lululemon, Pandora, Blossom Juicy Bar, Florida Fishin’ Apparel, and Windsor.
