After undergoing a complete renovation during the past few months, O’Malley’s Alley has reopened its doors with a completely new look and feel.
One of the most popular Ocala downtown night spots, the bar is located at 24 S Magnolia Ave., next door to Mark’s Prime Steakhouse. Despite offering food, the restaurant chose to remain closed during quarantine to instead work on renovations.
At first glance, it appears that almost every part of the bar has been repainted, refinished, or replaced. A quick walkthrough confirms that virtually every inch of the bar has been upgraded or changed. A new stage has been constructed in the upstairs dining room for musical acts, and the popular touch tunes jukeboxes have been installed in both the outside and indoor sections.
The interior dining area and bar are also now non-smoking sections, a change from the previous policy. The business indicated on its Facebook page that there would still be plenty of room to smoke in the outdoor area at the back of the establishment.
The entire back area, which features a stage and two additional bars, has been repainted and outfitted with new fixtures and signage.
O’Malley’s Alley and Oyster Bar is open every day from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., although hours may vary. For more information on their menu, drinks, events, or any of the recent changes, visit the O’Malley’s Alley Facebook page.
