A pedestrian was killed early Saturday morning when he was struck by a pickup truck in Marion County.
The incident happened when a truck pulling a trailer hit a 30-year-old Delray Beach man on U.S. Hwy. 27, just west of NW 46th Terrace. The pedestrian was in the roadway when the crash happened and was pronounced dead at the scene by Marion County Fire Rescue, a Florida Highway Patrol report states.
The 44-year-old driver of the pickup, of Newberry, wasn’t injured. Nor were his passengers, a 23-year-old woman and 22-year-old man, both of Trenton, the report says.
