Thomas F. ‘TV’ Leavy of Ocala, FL, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Bridgewater Park Health & Rehabilitation with his family by his side. He was born in Redwood City, CA on September 15, 1924 to Raymond & Marie and was one of eleven children. He grew up in New Jersey and moved to Florida in 1973.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Dorothy (Dot) Leavy. He is survived by his daughter, Loretta (Micki) Bidmon and son-in-law Robert Bidmon; one brother and three sisters, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He served in the U.S. Air Force as a radio technician form 1942-1945. When he returned from serving his country, he went to trade school and became a TV repairman. He spent over 40 years as a repairman. He always tried to stay active and enjoyed bowling and organic gardening. He often shared tips and recipes with his customers.
The family wishes to acknowledge the many dedicated and caring medical personnel that cared for him while at Bridgewater Park and also Kindred Hospice. It is his desire not to have a service and his remains will be placed at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
