A school resource officer at an Ocala high school was called Wednesday after a suspicious piece of candy was found in a bathroom.
The resource officer at Forest High School, located at 5000 SE Maricamp Rd., responded to a boys’ bathroom, where he found a piece of chocolate with a leaf molded into it. A field test revealed that the candy contained marijuana, a Marion County Sheriff’s Office report states.
The resource officer, who is a sheriff’s deputy, took possession of the candy and placed it into evidence at the South Multi-District Office for disposal. No arrests were made in the incident.
