Suzanne Jane (Phifield) Ablondi, 68, of Ocala Florida died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on March 25, 2019.
Suzy leaves her husband and soulmate of 35 years, David F. Ablondi, her mother Rita A. (McCarthy) Phifield of Shrewsbury, her children, Andrew and Christian, her sisters Traci M. Manzi and her husband Frank of Charlton, and Sharon R.Cardoza of Florida. Suzanne also leaves her grandchildren Timothy Casey and Alicia Phifield, a very special Aunt Kay, nieces Gianna K. Manzi and Shannon M. Bernier, nephews Frank L.Manzi and Robert P. Bernier. Suzy also leaves her canine friend, Dixie. She was predeceased by her father Warren V. Phifield.
Suzanne was born in Worcester and raised in Shrewsbury. She was a graduate of Shrewsbury High School class of 1968. She lived in Oxford and Charlton, before moving to Florida 13 years ago. Suzy was the past president of Pine Run Garden Club, and a member of Cherrywood Garden Club. She enjoyed many different kinds of crafts including stained glass and dried flower arrangements. She was an avid card player belonging to many different groups. She loved animals especially cats. Suzy was a kind, loving person who will be sadly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to Hospice of Marion County.
A time to honor and remember Suzanne with her family will be held on Saturday April 13, 2019 in the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation St. from 9 AM to 11 AM in the funeral home. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be private in the Westridge Cemetery in Charlton.
