Woman nabbed in Ocala driving with suspended license for 10th time

Leslie Sabrina Wolford

A Crystal River woman with nine previous convictions for driving with a suspended license was charged with doing it again after being pulled over in Ocala.

Shortly before noon Wednesday, an Ocala Police officer ran the license plate of a black Hyundai Elantra and found the registered owner had a non-valid driver’s license. The officer initiated a traffic stop in the 800 block of North Pine Avenue, according to the report.

The driver, 39-year-old Leslie Sabrina Wolford, told the officer she knew her license was suspended and she was on her way to take care of it at a DMV office in Bronson. A computer check confirmed her license was suspended and revealed nine previous convictions, the report said.

Wolford was charged with driving with a suspended license (third or subsequent offense) and taken to the Marion County Jail. She was released Wednesday night on $2,000 bond.
