Ocala firefighters tackle blaze in construction dumpster at apartment complex

Firefighters from Ocala Fire Rescue battled a dumpster fire at a local apartment complex on Monday.

Crews from Ocala Fire Rescue used 1,500 gallons of water on Monday to extinguish a blaze in a construction dumpster at the Berkeley Pointe Apartments.

Engine 5, Engine 1 and a battalion chief were called to the Berkeley Pointe Apartments on NE 7th Street in Ocala and when they arrived, firefighters discovered flames coming from a construction dumpster.

They quickly tackled the blaze and used 1,500 gallons of water to extinguish it. No injuries were reported.
