A Silver Springs woman who was driving a swaying vehicle with no taillights was arrested earlier this week.
An Ocala Police officer stopped 29-year-old Tracy Michele Haskins early Sunday morning in the 2800 block of E State Road 40 and reported that she had glassy and bloodshot eyes and the smell of alcohol was emitting from her breath. The officer attempted to conduct field sobriety exercises but Haskins refused to participate, a police report states.
Haskins was placed in handcuffs and transported to the Marion County Jail. She also refused to provide breath samples to check for blood alcohol content and was charged with driving under the influence (second offense).
Haskins, who lives in the 3300 block of NE 57th Ave. in Silver Springs and had admitted to consuming alcohol, was released Sunday afternoon on $2,000 bond. Her next court date hasn’t yet been set.
