Marion sheriff’s K-9 lauded for nabbing child abuse suspect on the run

A child abuse suspect is behind bars in the Marion County Jail thanks to the hard work of sheriff’s K-9 Cpl. Matt Bowers and his dog, OTOW.

Bowers responded to a call for assistance this past Friday night after a suspect ran from deputies while they were investigating a child abuse case. A short time later, Bowers and OTOW tracked down 35-year-old Racheal Gaudio, who was the suspect in the case.

Gaudio, of Ocala, was transported to the Marion County Jail early Saturday morning and charged with cruelty toward a child and resisting an officer without violence. She was being held on $2,500 bond and is due in court Dec. 17 at 9 a.m. to answer to the charges.

Marion County Sheriff’s K-9 Cpl. Matt Bowers and his dog, OTOW, are being praised for apprehending child abuse suspect Racheal Gaudio recently.
