Marion County sheriff’s detectives are seeking information about a recent homicide.
Deputies on May 2 responded at about 12:15 a.m. to a call for shots fired in the area of Maricamp Road and Pine Terrace. They located the disturbance and found 25-year-old Vontrail Stafford dead inside a home, a sheriff’s office report states.
Deputies also located a child who was suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital where he was treated for his injuries and has since been released.
