A motorist was trauma alerted to an Ocala hospital after a two-vehicle crash early Thursday afternoon.
Multiple crews from Ocala Fire Rescue responded to the 12:46 p.m. crash at the intersection of W Silver Springs Boulevard and N Pine Avenue. When they arrived, they found a crash involving a white sedan and a black pickup truck.
Firefighters quickly identified that the driver the sedan needed to be extricated from his vehicle. After stabilizing the damaged sedan, they gained access to the driver – the sole occupant – through the passenger side. The driver was then removed from the vehicle and transported to an area hospital for further treatment.
None of the occupants of the pickup truck needed to be transported to a hospital. Crews from Marion County Fire Rescue and officers from the Ocala Police Department also responded to the incident.
