Ocala woman nabbed after ex-guy pal’s sister claims she was punched in nose

Kontorie Gabriella Garrison

An Ocala woman was arrested recently after being accused of punching her ex-boyfriend’s sister in the nose.

The victim told Marion County sheriff’s deputies that she went to her former man friend’s house and he wasn’t yet home from work. She said an argument broke out between her, 22-year-old Kontorie Gabriella Garrison and Garrison’s mother after she told them she was going to wait for her ex-boyfriend to get home, a sheriff’s office report states.

The victim claimed that during the verbal altercation, she was struck in the nose and fell to the ground. Deputies noted a scrape on the victim’s left leg but no injuries on her face, the report says.

Garrison said the victim was asked multiple times to leave but she refused to do so. She said the woman was being “very disrespectful” to her mother and she admitted to punching her in the face. She said her mother “is all she’s got” and she won’t let anyone disrespect her, the report says.

Garrison showed deputies a ripped shirt she claimed to have been wearing during the altercation but also said “it was ripped after she punched the victim.” Garrison’s mother then told deputies that “she did not see who hit who” and thought the altercation was mutual, the report says.

Garrison was taken into custody and transported to the Marion County Jail, where she was charged with battery. She was later released on $1,000 bond and her next court date hasn’t yet been set, jail records show.
